Healing Poses

These nourishing healing poses are perfect to incorporate into your morning tune in, a midday reset, afternoon release, bedtime wind down, or any bite-sized “me time” moment you crave a little extra quietide, stillness and nourishment for your nervous system.

Cross Legged Forward Fold

This healing pose is powerful for releasing the areas of the body holding onto tension when you feel anxious, worried and/or stressed. It’s also beautiful for easing an overactive mind and inviting you to feel better connected to yourself in a calm and grounded way.

Pigeon Pose

A yummy pose to open the hips and release the ’emotional junk drawer’.

Forward Fold

Forward fold is one of my favorite poses for releasing tension in my body and helping me feel relaxed and present in the moment. By opening up the entire back side of your body, you release the “armour” you’ve been carrying while stretching out everything from your calves to your neck. Give this pose a try when you feel tense and tight! Within five or so deep breaths, you’ll feel the magic of this pose!

Reclining Twist

This delicious pose is deeply restorative for the nervous system and offers a powerful boost to your immune system. It’s ideal to practice this pose before bed or when you’re feeling run down.

Child’s Pose

Whether you’ve practiced yoga before, you’ve likely heard of child’s pose! Child’s pose is one of the yummiest and most comforting poses. It’s perfect for alleviating stress, anxiety and overwhelm. It has the added bonus of releasing tension across your back and shoulders. Child’s pose will leave your body and mind feeling calm, relaxed and at ease.

Tree Pose

Tree pose is amazing for any yogi, beginner or advanced. Practicing this pose invites you to feel grounded, steady, and connected to the energy of your heart.

Legs Up The Wall

This pose is your one-way ticket to a calm mind and a restored nervous system. Legs up the wall is an ideal pose to practice just before bed and when your mind is feeling extra overwhelmed, anxious or worried. It has the bonus of soothing fertility, menopause, and menstrual issues, as well as lower back discomfort and tired legs.

Butterfly Pose

The magic of butterfly lies in its ability to release tension and stiffness along the back of the body. Invite yourself to turn inwards and calm the mind while practicing this pose.
